Fuel banks pilot scheme aims to address austerity-era dilemma of 'heat or eat'
‘Families in poverty who are forced to switch off their gas and electricity supply because they are unable afford spiralling energy bills will be offered free charity fuel vouchers under a pilot scheme. The so-called “fuel banks” initiative will provide a £49 credit for struggling families who use prepayment meters in a move designed to address the austerity-era dilemma of “heat or eat”. It is being run by energy firm nPower and poverty charities including the food bank network Trussell trust.’

If you were my grandmother, then the answer was to eat.
Sadly this cost her, life.
My grandmother passed away February 1st, 2015 from hypothermia. She froze to death.
We assumed the heating was on. Living miles away, no one saw her after Christmas and the heating was on always for visitors, but turned off once left. Hostile politics, a malicious art to amplify misery is the Tories political infrastructure of spite towards the poor, the vulnerable and especially to our pensioners. Too scared to turn the heating on is an outrageous political model of death dealing politics only too common in the UK and around the world.
Our Tory government practises a dark voyeuristic sinister political agenda of seeing the suffering but doing nothing to prevent it. The poorest and vulnerable stand in splendid isolation as the Tories death dealing politics shows a social collective hatred and sadistic economic rape towards the poor.
As a society we should be convulsed with raw but legitimate rage and anger to not allow such mindless morally decayed rot to govern over us again in Westminster.
A silent attack of deliberate infliction of pain by our Tory Government who with ruthless efficiency, express a sophisticated political model of a repressive machine of aggressive policies.
