‘The Israeli regime’s prolonged blockade of the war-torn Gaza Strip is taking its toll on many wounded Palestinians who are in urgent need of treatment outside the Palestinian enclave.
A nine-year-old Palestinian girl was admitted to Gaza’s Shifa Hospital more than three weeks ago after being paralyzed from the neck down in an Israeli airstrike.
Maha Sheikh Khalil urgently needs to be treated abroad in order to regain some of her nerve function, but she and her family are still waiting for permission from Israel to move her out of Gaza.’
